Lesson 13 Making Secondary Adjustments
1 Select thumbnail number 13, and play the clip.
This is a nice shot but unfortunately the camera is a bit too shaky. You can use the
stabilizer to either lock down the shot and remove all camera motion, or leave the
general camera move but smooth out the motion. For this shot we would like to keep
that hand held feel but smooth out the movement.
2 In the drop down menu in the upper-right corner of the Tracker palette, choose
Stabilizer.
The Tracker palette now switches from tracking to stabilizer mode.
Like Cut and Edit page functionality, the Color page Stabilizer works without
settinganypoints, which can be beneficial when you just need to perform a
quickstabilizeoperation.
3 In the upper-right corner of the Tracker palette, click the Stabilize button to begin
themotion analysis.
4 Once the analysis is complete, press the spacebar to view the smoother motion.
Although that worked well, it isn’t as smooth as we would like it. You can make
adjustments to the stabilizer using the Smooth setting at the bottom of the
trackerpanel.
