5. CLI Commands
dns enable
Use the dns enable command to activate the use of Domain Name System IP address(es) for resolving domain names. Use
the no form of this command to disable the use of DNS. Note that changes to network parameters must be applied using the
apply network command for the changes to take effect.
Syntax
dns enable
no dns address
Example
The following command activates the use of DNS server IP address(es):
console> dns enable
NOTE: Use the “apply network” command to complete the change. This may cause a system
reboot.
show dns
Use the show dns command to display the current DNS settings.
Syntax
show dns [primary | secondary | tertiary | status]
Example
The following command displays all DNS settings:
console> show dns
Primary DNS : 192.188.5.5
Secondary DNS : 192.188.5.6
Tertiary DNS : 192.188.5.7
Manual DNS : disabled
