5. CLI Commands
event: name
name
Use the name command to modify the name of the event. This command applies only to custom events.
Syntax
name <new-name>
• new-name – Specifies a new name for the custom event. If spaces are required, bookend the name with quotation marks
(“).
Examples
The following command changes the name of custom event “Event ABC” to “Event 123”:
console> event (Event ABC)> name “Event 123”
Update complete
console> event (Event 123)>
show name
Use the show name command to display the name of the event.
Syntax
show name
Examples
The following command displays the name of (standard) event “On Battery”:
console> event (On Battery)> show name

event: severity
severity
Use the severity command to change the severity level of the event. By default, all custom events are assigned a severity of
“warning”.
Syntax
severity {critical | info | warning}
• critical – Sets the event’s severity level as “critical”.
• info – Sets the event’s severity level as “info”.
• warning – Sets the event’s severity level as “warning”.
Example
The following command sets the severity level as “critical” for entry “Load 01 Off”:
console> event (Load 01 O)> severity critical
