5. CLI Commands
default timezone
Use the default timezone command to set the global settings for the local time zone, with respect to Universal Time
Coordinated (UTC). A list of available time zones can viewed using the show timezones command. Users can individually
override this setting by using the default user timezone command.
Syntax
default timezone <timezone>
timezone – The time zone in string format.
Example
The following command sets the timezone to U.S. Central Standard Time:
console> default timezone America/Chicago

default user date-format
Use the default user date-format command to set a preferred date format, applied exclusively to the user logged into the
system. Note that format selections are case-sensitive and must be entered using the same capitalization as documented.
Use the no form of this command to remove the user preference, thereby reverting to the global default date format as set by
default date-format.
Syntax
default user date-format {M/d/yyyy | M/d/yy | MM/dd/yy | MM/dd/yyyy | yy/MM/dd | yyyy-MM-dd | dd-MMM-yy}
no default user date-format
Examples
The following command sets the current user’s date format preference to “MM/dd/yyyy”:
console> default user date-format MM/dd/yyyy

default user reset
Use the default user reset command to clear all user preferences for the user logged into the system.
