device: load: description
description
Use the description command to optionally enter a description for the specified load. Use the no form of this command to
clear the description.
Syntax
description <description>
no description
• description – Specifies a description for the load. If spaces are required, bookend the description with quotation marks (“).
Examples
The following command sets “vm server 1” as the description for load #2 on device “PDU-Rack1”:
console> device (PDU-Rack1)> load (2)> description “vm server 1”
Update complete
show description
Use the show description command to display the description entered for the load.
Syntax
show name
Examples
The following command displays the description for load #2 on device “PDU-Rack1”:
console> device (PDU-Rack1)> load (2)> show description
vm server 1
device: load: name
name
Use the name command to set or modify the name of the load.
Syntax
name <new-name>
• new-name – Specifies the name of the load.
Examples
The following command changes the name of load 1 on device “PDU-Rack1” to “Rack DXS Switch”:
console> device (PDU-Rack1)> load (1)> name “Rack DXS Switch”
