5. CLI Commands
snmp-user: enable
enable
Use the enable command to activate the SNMP user entry. Use the no form of this command to disable the entry. Note: an
SNMPv1 or v2 entry cannot be enabled until it is configured using the host and community commands. Likewise, an SNMPv3
entry cannot be enabled until it is configured using the host, security-mode and username commands.
Syntax
enable
no enable
Example
The following command enables entry “snmpadmin2”:
console> snmp-user (snmpadmin2)> enable
Update complete
The following command disables entry “old admin”:
console> snmp-user (old-admin)> no enable
Update complete
show enable
Use the show enable command to display the enabled/disabled status of the SNMP user entry.
Syntax
show enable
Examples
The following command displays the status of entry “snmpadmin2”:
console> snmp-user (snmpadmin2)> show enable
enabled
