input
Use the input command to configure the input contacts of an E2MTHDI sensor.
Syntax
input {contact-1 | contact-2} alarm-level {normally_open | normally_closed}
input {contact-1 | contact-2} description <value>
• value – Specifies a description for the input contact.
no input {contact-1 | contact-2} description <value>
• value – Clears the description for the input contact.
Example
The following command sets “normally_open” as the contact-1 alarm level for sensor “E2MTHDI-123” connected to device
“PDU-Rack1”:
console> device (PDU-Rack1)> sensor (E2MTHDI-123)> input contact-1 alarm-level
normally_open

The following command sets “Door 12-A” as the contact-2 description for sensor “E2MTHDI-123” connected to device “PDU-
Rack1”:

Use the show input command to display the settings for the input contacts of the sensor.
