5. CLI Commands
snmp enable
Use the snmp enable command to individually enable inbound SNMPv1, SNMPv2 and/or SNMPv3 communications. Use the
no form of this command to individually disable SNMPv1, SNMPv2 and/or SNMPv3 communications. By default, SNMPv1,
SNMPv2 and SNMPv3 are all enabled. Use the apply network command to complete SNMP configuration.
Syntax
snmp {v1 | v2 | v3} enable
no snmp {v1 | v2 | v3} enable
Examples
The following command enables inbound SNMP v3 communications:
console> snmp v3 enable
Update complete
NOTE: Use the “apply network” command to complete the change. This may cause a system
reboot.
The following command disables inbound SNMP v1 communications:
console> no snmp v1 enable
Update complete
NOTE: Use the “apply network” command to complete the change. This may cause a system
reboot.
show snmp
Use the show snmp command to display the current settings for the SNMP service.
Syntax
show snmp [port | v1 | v2 | v3]
Examples
The following command displays all SNMP setting:
console> show snmp
SNMP Port : 163
SNMP V1 : enabled
SNMP V2c : enabled
SNMP V3 : enabled
