syslog-server: log
log
Use the log command to set which log type records are to be sent to the syslog server entry. Use the all option to specify all
log types, or enter this command multiple times to specify log types individually. Use the no form of this command to disable
transmissions to the entry.
Syntax
log {all | application | data | event} enable
no log {all | application | data | event} enable
Examples
The following command enables sending Application Log items to entry “SYSsrvr2”:
console> syslog-server (SYSsrvr2)> log application enable

show log
Use the show log command to display the log types specified for the syslog server entry.
Syntax
show log
Examples
The following command displays the log types specified for entry “SYSsrvr2”:
console> syslog-server (SYSsrvr2)> show log
Application : enabled
Data : enabled
Event : enabled
syslog-server: name
name
Use the name command to modify the name of the syslog server entry.
Syntax
name <new-name>
• new-name – Specifies the new name for the entry.
Examples
The following command changes the entry’s name from “Server ABC” to “Server XYZ”:
console> syslog-server (Server ABC)> name “Server XYZ”
