5. CLI Commands
user
user
Use the user command to create and/or manage an entry for a local user. Use the no form of this command to delete the
entry. When creating an entry, select an easily remembered name as a label for the entry; this name will be used in the
command format user (<user-name>) when configuring the entry’s status and settings. To exit from the user (<user-
name>) command format, use either the end or exit commands. PADM supports up to 64 local user entries.
Syntax
user <user-name>
user-name – Specifies the user entry to be created or managed. If spaces are required, bookend the name with quotation
marks (“).
no user <user-name>
user-name – Specifies the user entry to be deleted.
Examples
The following command creates “ITadmin1” as a user entry:
console> user ITadmin1
Created ITadmin1
console> user (ITadmin1)>
The following command deletes entry “Admin shift 2”:
console> no user “Admin shift 2”:
Deleted Admin shift 2
show user
Use the show user command to display a summary table of all user entries or the details of a specified user entry.
Syntax
show user [<user-name>]
user-name – Specifies the entry for which user details are to be displayed.
Examples
The following command shows a summary table of all user entries:
console> show user
