device
device
Use the device command to enter the device (<device-name>) format in which all applicable commands can be entered.
Specifying a <device-name> is only necessary when more than one device is active, not including sensors. Use the no form
of this command to delete an inactive device. Active devices cannot be deleted. To exit from the device (<device-name>)
command format, use either the end or exit commands.
Note: for devices that support External Battery Packs (EBPs), on entering the device (<device-name>) command format,
the system will automatically check for the availability of an update to the EBP configuration file. If an update is available, a
message will appear stating so. Use the battery-pack update command to initiate the update process.
Syntax
device [<device-name>]
device-name – Specifies the device entry to be managed.
no device <device-name>
device-name – Specifies the inactive device entry to be deleted.
