WARNING:

tions in this section.
. DO NOT GET UNDER A VEHICLE THAT IS
SUPPORTED BY A JACK.
. Never use a jack which is not provided
with your vehicle.
. The jack, which is provided with your
vehicle, is designed only to lift your
vehicle during a tire change. Do not use
the jack provided with your vehicle on
other vehicles.
. Never jack up the vehicle at a location
other than the jack-up point that is
specified.
. Never lift the vehicle more than neces-
sary.
. Never use blocks on or under the jack.
. Never start or run the engine while the
vehicle is on the jack. The vehicle may
move suddenly, and this may cause an
accident.
. Never allow passengers to remain in the
vehicle while the tire is off the ground.
. Be sure to read the caution label attached
to the jack body before using.
1. Place the jack directly under the jack-up
point as illustrated so that the top of the
jack contacts the vehicle at the jack-up
point.
The jack should be placed on firm level
ground.
2. Align the jack head between the two
notches located at the jack-up point of
either the front or the rear section.
3. Fit the groove of the jack head between the
notches as shown.
4. Loosen each wheel nut, counterclockwise,
one or two turns with the wheel nut
wrench.
Do not remove the wheel nuts until the
tire is off the ground.
5. Carefully raise the vehicle until the clear-
ance between the tire and ground is
achieved.
