Before Use
Screen Brightness
Adjust screen brightness as follows.
Choose [
2] tab > [Disp. Brightness],
press the [ ] button, and then press
the [ ][ ] buttons or turn the [ ] dial to
adjust the brightness.
For maximum brightness, press and hold the [ ] button
for at least one second. (This will override the [Disp. Brightness]
setting on the [
2] tab.) To restore the original brightness, press
and hold the [
] button again for at least one second or
restart the camera.
Switching the Color of Screen Information
Information displayed on the screen and menus can be changed to a color
suitable for shooting under low-light conditions.
Choose [Night Display] on the [
2] tab,
and then choose [On].
To restore the original display, choose
[Off].
You can also return the setting to [Off] by holding down the
[
] button for at least one second.
Power-Saving Adjustment
Adjust the timing of automatic camera and screen deactivation (Auto
Power Down and Display Off, respectively) as needed (=
30).
Choose [Power Saving] on the [
2] tab,
and then press the [ ] button.
Choose an item and press the [
] button.
Press the [ ][ ] buttons or turn the [ ]
dial to adjust the setting, and then press
the [ ] button again.
To conserve battery power, you should normally choose [1 min.]
for [Auto Power Down] and [1 min.] or less for [Display Off].
The [Display Off] setting is applied even if you set [Auto Power
Down] to [Off].
These power-saving functions are not available when you have
set Eco mode (=
154) to [On].
