Charging the Battery
• Use the dedicated charger, USB cable and battery.
• The battery is not charged when the camera is shipped. Charge the battery before use.
• The battery can only be charged when it is inserted in the camera.

It has been found that counterfeit batteries which look very similar to the
genuine product are available in some markets. Some of these batteries are not
adequately equipped with internal protection to meet the requirements of
appropriate safety standards. Using such batteries may lead to fire or explosion.
Please be advised that Leica Camera AG is not liable for any accident or failure
occurring as a result of use of a counterfeit battery. To ensure that safe products
are used we urgently recommend to use only the Leica battery BP-DC15 (>14).
