CROP ZOOM SETTING
Configure the settings for crop zoom.
[
/ SHOOT] [Crop Zoom Settings]
Crop Zoom
The Crop Zoom screen is displayed where you can set a desired magnification
factor.
Zoom Step
Normal
(Default)
You can select a zoom position in fine pitch increments.
Skip
You can only select the basic positions. When the image
quality is set to DNG (14 bits) and DNG (14 bits) + JPEG,
Zoom Step is forcibly set to Skip.
Zoom Lower Limit
Auto
(Default)
The lower limit is automatically set so that the recording area
is set appropriately based on the lens mounted on the camera.
x1.00
If an APS-C format lens is mounted, no limit is imposed and
pictures can be taken with x1.00 or greater magnification.
X1.53
Set this option when mounting an APS-C format lens that
does not automatically crop pictures.
Zoom Upper Limit
x1.00
x1.53
x2.0
x2.5
x.5.0
Depending on the zoom lower limit setting or image size setting, the
magnification range that can be specified is limited. If you cannot set your
desired magnification factor, press the
button in [Zoom Upper Limit].
The [Image Size] setting screen is displayed where you can change the
image size.
TIP
There is a close relationship among the image size setting (STILL), resolution
setting (CINE), and crop zoom. Crop Zoom provides zooming effects by
changing the recording area of the image sensor. In STILL mode, the size
of recorded images varies depending on the magnification factor (when the
image size is set to Auto). If the image size is set to a size other than Auto,
the image size is fixed, however, there will be a limit on the magnification
factor. Crop Zoom is not available if the image size is set to 9.5K, which uses
the maximum recording area. In CINE mode, you can set a higher magnification
factor for FHD, which has a smaller number of pixels than UHD.
