OEM Diagnostics
5. Select Back to return to the Active Test menu.
Purge Vol Control Valve Test
1. Select Purge Vol Control Valve in the Active Test menu, then press OK.
n An “instructional” screen displays. Prepare the vehicle for test as directed.
Engine: After Warning Up Above 158°F (70°C), run Engine at 1500-2000rpm.
2. Select Next to continue.
n An “Information” screen displays.
3. Select Next to continue.
n “The Purge Vol Control Valve” screen displays.
4. Select Down 10% or Up 10%, as desired, then press OK.
n The screen refreshes to show the test result.
5. Repeat step 3 as desired.
6. Press
Back to return to the Active Test menu.
Vent Control Valve Test
1. Select Vent Control Valve in the Active Test menu, then press OK.
n An “instructional” screen displays. Prepare the vehicle for test as directed:
Ignition Switch: ON (Engine Stopped)
2. Select Next to continue.
n An “Information” screen displays.
3. Select Next to continue.
n “The Purge Vol Control Valve” screen displays.
4. Select On or Off, as desired, then press OK.
n The screen refreshes to show the test result.
5. Repeat step 3 as desired.
6. Press
Back to return to the Active Test menu.
