When makingone ofthe following cuts, followthe
instructionsthatapplyfor the basiccut, dependingon
the position,shape, and size ofthe wood. Do not
attempt these cutsuntilyou are skilledwiththe basic
cuts.
CUTTING LONG WORKPIECES

• Place a supportthe same heightas the saw table
nearbyfor the cutwork.
,_ WARNING: Make sure the blade guardis
loweredand isworkingproperlyto prevent
possibleinjury.
,_ WARNING: Never putyourhandswithin3 in.of
the bladewhen itison.
• Make surethe wooddoes nottouchthe blade
before youturnon the saw withthe switchonthe
arm. Letthe blade buildupto full speed beforeit
contactsthewood.
• When the work iscompleted,pressthe switchoff
and remove thekey.
