injury in the event oý a collision. Both
arms should not be under or over
the belt. Rather, one should be over
and the other under, as shown in the
illustration.
Never wear the seat belt under the
arm nearest the door.
Rear center seatbelt :
Always keep the plate (1) and buckle
(2) locked. çull the metal tab (3) and in‐
sert it (3) into the buckle (4). There will
be an audible click when the tab locks
into the buckle. Make sure the belt is
not twisted.
When usinþ the rear center seat belt
the buckle with the CENTER mark
must be used.
To release the seat belt:
The seat belt is released by pressinþ
the release button (A) on the lockinþ
buckle. When it is released, the belt
should automatically draw back into
the retractor.
Iý this does not happen, check the belt
to be sure it is not twisted, then try
aþain.
