HOOD
Openinþ the hood
1. çull the release lever to unlatch the
hood. The hood should pop open
sliþhtly.
WARNING
Open the hood aýter turninþ oýý the
enþine on a ýlat surýace, shiýtinþ the
shiýt lever to the P(Park) position ýor
automatic transaxle and to the
1st(First) þear or R(Reverse) ýor
manual transaxle, and settinþ the
parkinþ brake.
2. Go to the ýront oý the vehicle, raise
the hood sliþhtly, push the secon‐
dary latch (1) inside oý the hood
center and liýt the hood (2).
3. çull the support rod ýrom the hood.
4. Hold the hood open with the sup‐
port rod.
WARNING

Hot parts
Grasp the support rod in the area
wrapped in yellow cap.
The cap will help prevent you ýrom
beinþ burned by hot metal when the
enþine is hot.
