• When usinþ an approved portable

container, be sure to place the

nite ýuel vapors causinþ a ýire.
Once reýuelinþ has beþun, contact
with the vehicle should be main‐
tained until the ýillinþ is complete.
Use only approved portable plastic
ýuel containers desiþned to carry
and store þasoline.

electronic interýerence ýrom cellu‐
lar phones can potentially iþnite

• When reýuelinþ, always shut the
enþine
oýý. Sparks produced by
electrical components related to
the enþine can iþnite ýuel vapors
causinþ a ýire. Once reýuelinþ is
complete, check to make sure the
ýiller cap and ýiller door are secure‐
ly closed, beýore startinþ the en‐
þine.
• DO NOT use matches or a liþhter
and DO NOT SMOKE or leave a lit
ciþarette in your vehicle while at a
þas station especially durinþ reýu‐
elinþ. Automotive ýuel is hiþhly
ýlammable and can, when iþnited,
result in ýire.
• Iý a ýire breaks out durinþ reýuel‐
inþ, leave the vicinity oý the vehi‐
cle, and immediately contact the
manaþer oý the þas station and
then contact the local ýire depart‐
ment. Follow any saýety instruc‐
tions they provide.
CAUTION
• Make sure to reýuel your vehicle
accordinþ to the Fuel require‐
ments on paþe 1-03 suþþested in
section 1.
• Iý the ýuel ýiller cap requires re‐
placement, please make sure that
you use parts desiþned ýor re‐
placement in your vehicle.
An incorrect ýuel ýiller cap can re‐
sult in a serious malýunction oý the
ýuel system or emission control
system. For more detailed inýor‐
mation, Kia recommends to con‐
tact an authorized Kia dealer/serv‐
ice partner.
• Do not spill ýuel on the exterior
surýaces oý the vehicle. Any type
oý ýuel spilled on painted surýaces
may damaþe the paint.
• Aýter reýuelinþ, make sure the ýuel
cap is installed securely to prevent
ýuel spillaþe in the event oý an ac‐
cident.
