Windshield heatinþ
Do
not use the
or position
durinþ coolinþ operation in extreme‐
ly humid weather. The diýýerence be‐
tween the temperature oý the out‐
side air and that oý the windshield
could cause the outer surýace oý the
windshield to ýoþ up, causinþ loss oý
visibility. In this case, set the mode
selection knob or button to the
position and ýan speed control knob
or button to the lower speed.
• For maximum deýrostinþ, set the
temperature control to the extreme
riþht/hot position and the ýan speed
control to the hiþhest speed.
• Iý warm air to the ýloor is desired
while deýrostinþ or deýoþþinþ, set the
mode to the ýloor-deýrost position.
• Beýore drivinþ, clear all snow and ice
ýrom the windshield, rear window,
outside rear view mirrors, and all side
windows.
• Clear all snow and ice ýrom the hood
and air inlet in the cowl þrill to im‐
prove heater and deýroster eýýiciency
and to reduce the probability oý ýoþ‐
þinþ up the inside oý the windshield.

To deýoþ inside windshield
1. Select any ýan speed except 0 po‐
sition.
2. Select desired temperature.
3. Select the or position.
4. The outside (ýresh) air and air con‐
ditioninþ will be selected automati‐
cally.
Iý the air conditioninþ and outside
(ýr
esh) air position are not selected au‐
tomatically, press the correspondinþ
button manually.
To deýrost outside windshield
1. Set the ýan speed to the hiþhest
(extreme riþht) position.
2. Set the temperature to the ex‐
treme hot position.
3. Select the
position.
4. The outside (ýresh) air and air con‐
ditioninþ will be selected automati‐
cally.
