Find Camera
Click

camera names. By default, the model names are used as camera names.
Use the Search Cameras eld to nd a specic camera in the list. Click the camera name to show the camera as a camera view in
the workspace.
If you are connected to more than one server, the listed cameras are grouped per server.
Note
The shown camera view is not connected to any split views.
Keyboard shortcuts
Press CTRL + F on the keyboard to show the list.
Press ESC on the keyboard to close the list. If the list shows search results, pressing ESC clears the list of search results.
Views
Views are generated automatically when cameras and devices are added to Axis Camera Station, and the number of views are
optimized for the number of installed devices.
To display a view, click one of the view icons, for example
in the view navigation panel or drag the view to the main window or to
another monitor. It is also possible to drag a single camera view, sequence, map or web page to a frame in a split view.
When cameras and devices are added to AXIS Camera Station, new cameras and devices are added as new views.
When cameras and devices are removed from AXIS Camera Station, their split views and camera views display a message that the
cameras and devices are removed from the server. No views are removed automatically.
To edit a view, right-click
and select Edit View.
To delete a view, right-click
and select Delete View.
The following view types are available:
Split View Displays multiple views in one window. One frame can be set as a hotspot that automatically loads the view from
another frame when clicking in that frame.
Sequence Switches automatically between selected views, with variable dwell times.
Camera View Live video from one camera or video encoder. Camera views can be added to split views, sequences and maps.
Map Imported image, for example a oor plan, on which camera views, split views, sequences, web pages and other
maps can be placed. Providing a visual overview, maps make it easy to quickly locate and access individual
cameras in the network video installation.
Web Page
External web application integrated into AXIS Camera Station. Web pages can be shown in a split view or a
sequence together with live video.
Folder Folders are used to categorize items in a tree view navigation. Folders can contain split views, sequences,
camera views, maps, web pages and other folders.
For information about how to create views, sequences, maps, web pages and folders, see Create Views on page 40.
Views can be accessed by all users. For information about user access rights, see User Permissions on page 66.
For Tree view navigation for a large system, see Cameras and Views on page 14.
