Focusing with AF (AF Method)
The camera detects and focuses on human faces. If a face moves, the
AF point
also moves to track the face.
1
Display the Live View image.
Press the <0> button.
The Live View image will appear on
the LCD monitor.
2
Select an AF point.
When a face is detected, the area
frame will be displayed and
will
appear over the face to be focused
on.
If multiple faces are detected,
will be displayed. Use <9> to move
over the face you want to
focus on.
You can also tap on the LCD monitor
screen to select the face or subject. If
you tap on a subject other than a
human face, the AF point will be
switched to < >.
3
Focus on the subject.
Press the shutter button halfway to
focus.
If no faces can be detected or if you
do not tap anything on the screen, the
camera will switch to FlexiZone -
Multi (p.319).
When focus is achieved, the AF point
will turn green and the beeper will
sound.
If focus is not achieved, the AF point
will turn orange.
