You can extract any range in a roll and save it as a separate roll.

Display the RAW Burst Image Tool window.
Perform steps 1 to 2 of “Starting Up the RAW Burst Image Tool”
(p.120).
The RAW Burst Image Tool window is displayed.

Set the lead image.
Use the slider or [ ] and [ ] buttons to display the
image you want to set as the lead image in the image display
area, and then click the [ ] button.
The lead image marker ( ) moves, and the lead image in the
roll is set.
Extracting and Saving Any Range in a Roll

Set the last image.
Use the slider or [ ] and [ ] buttons to display the
image you want to set as the last image in the image display
area, and then click the [ ] button.
The last image marker ( ) moves, and the last image in the roll
is set.

Save the roll.
Specify the necessary settings in the window that appears by
clicking the [ ] button and save the roll.
To revert settings to those when captured, click the [ ]
button.
To exit, click the [Close] button.
