Stopping hybrid battery charging
Stop hybrid battery charging by unlocking the
vehicle, disconnecting the charging cable from
the vehicle's charging socket and then unplug-
ging the cable from the 120-/240-volt socket.
NOTE
Always unlock the vehicle to stop the charg-
ing process before disconnecting the charg-
ing cable from the vehicle's charging socket
and then unplugging it from the
120-/240-volt socket.
The cable must be disconnected from the
vehicle's charging socket before it is
unplugged from the 120-/240-volt socket
to help prevent damage to the charging
system.
Unlock the vehicle with the remote key.
Press the release button on the charge cou-
pler to release it and disconnect the coupler
from the vehicle's charging socket. Remove
the cable from the vehicle and close the
charger door.
Disconnect the cable from the
120-/240-volt socket.
Stow the cable in the storage compartment
under the cargo compartment floor.
Charging cable locks automatically
If the charging cable is not removed from the
charging socket, it will automatically relock to the
socket after a short time to help maximize the
charge level and driving range using the electric
motor. The cable can be removed again if the
vehicle is unlocked with the remote key or by
opening the door on models equipped with the
Passive Entry* system.
