press the push-button ignition switch
for at least 15 seconds. The hybrid
system may start. Only use this hybrid
system start procedure in case of

start, the brake pedal may feel stiff. In
such a case, depress the brake pedal
more forcefully than usual. Check that
the operation indicator on the push-
button ignition switch turns green, and
press the push-button ignition switch
to start the hybrid system.
. When starting the hybrid system, the
flashing time of the Hybrid READY
indicator light may be long. Leave the
vehicle as it is until the Hybrid READY
indicator light is steady on, as steady
means the vehicle is able to move.
. If the hybrid system does not start,
the charge cable may be connected to
the vehicle.
. In the event that the Hybrid READY
indicator light does not come on even
after performing the proper procedures
for starting the vehicle, contact your
SUBARU dealer immediately.
. When the high voltage battery is
extremely cold (below approximately
228F (308C)) under the influence of
the outside temperature, it may not be
possible to start the hybrid system. In
this case, try to start the hybrid system
again after the temperature of the high
voltage battery increases due to the
outside temperature increase etc.
