(2) COMPRESSION ADJUSTER (1) PRE-LOAD ADJUSTER (1) REBOUND ADJUSTER
y Periodically check and clean all front suspension parts
to assure top performance. Check the dust seals for
dust, dirt, or foreign materials. Check the fluid for any
contamination.
y Make rebound damping adjustments in one-click
increments. Adjusting two or more clicks at a time may
cause you to pass over the best adjustment. Test ride
after each adjustment.
y If you become confused about adjustment settings,
return to the standard position and start over.
Rear Suspension
The swingarm is controlled by a shock absorber. The rear
shock absorber should always be adjusted for the rider’s
weight and track conditions by using one or more of the
following methods.
y Spring pre-load
Turning the spring pre-load adjuster adjusts the spring
initial pre-load length.
y Rebound damping
Turning the rebound damping screw adjusts how
quickly the shock absorber extends.
y When your Cota is new, your suspension will break-in
as you ride.
y After break-in is completed, test ride your Cota with
the rear suspension at the standard setting before
attempting any adjustments.
y Make all rebound damping adjustment in one-click
increments. Adjusting two or more clicks at a time may
cause you to pass over the best adjustment. Test ride
after each adjustment.
y If you become confused about adjustment settings,
return to the standard position and start over.
