60 SAVANT APP, HOST, AND LAMP CONTROL USER GUIDE
USING THE SCENE SCHEDULER
By default, scenes are available at any time of any day. You can activate a scene simply by tapping
its name on the scenes panel.
The Scene Scheduler enables you to specify when a scene should automatically be activated.
Clock Time and Celestial Time
You can schedule scenes to activate automatically under certain conditions. These conditions can
include:
– Time can be either:
– At Time
A specific time of day, such as 3:00 pm.
– Relative to Celestial Time
A time based on the rising and setting of the sun.
Celestial time is based on a Celestial Reference, which can be:
– Dawn
– Sunrise
– Sunset
– Dusk
Dawn and dusk refer to civil twilight, the time when the sun is 6 degrees below the horizon.
You can also specify an oset before or after any of these times. The oset can range from 5
seconds up to 5 hours. For example, you can set an oset for minus 5 seconds from Dawn, which
will activate a scene five seconds before Dawn. You can also set an oset of 5 hours after Sunset,
which will activate a scene five hours after Sunset.
Your choices for osets from Celestial Time include positive and negative numbers of the following
durations:
– 1 Minute
– 5 Minutes
– 10 Minutes
– 15 Minutes
– 30 Minutes
– 45 Minutes
– 1 Hour
– 2 Hours
– 5 Hours
The default choice is None, which does not set an oset for a Celestial Time.
