4. Click Device to show devices with reusable congurations.
5. Select a device to copy settings from and click OK.
Note
The details for the selected device are shown in a the Congure Devices dialogue.
6. Select the settings to be applied.
7. Click Next to verify the settings to be applied.
8. Click Finish to apply the selected settings to the selected devices.
Use Conguration File
A conguration le contains selected settings from one device. To create a conguration le, see Create Conguration File on page 52.
Conguration les can be used to:
• congure multiple devices at the same time,
• recongure a device, for example if the device is reset to its factory default settings.
To apply a conguration le to devices:
1. Open the Camera Management workspace.
2. Select the devices to congure with the conguration le. Devices of different models and rmware can be selected.
3. Right-click and select Congure Devices > Congure.
4. Click Conguration File to go to the conguration le.
5. Browse to the .cfg le and click Open.
6. Click Next to verify the settings to be applied.
7. Click Finish to apply the selected settings to the selected devices.
Note
A conguration le created from a device can be applied to devices with different model or rmware even if some settings do
not exist on all selected devices. This option should only be used by experienced users.
If some settings do not exist or cannot be applied, the task status will show as Error in the Tasks tab at the bottom of
the Camera Management workspace. Right-click the task and select Show to display information about the settings
that could not be applied.
Conguration Settings
Parameters Parameters are internal device parameters that are used to control device
behavior. Parameters should only be modied by experienced users.
Note
All device parameters are not accessible from AXIS Camera Station.

Variables It is possible to insert variables in some text elds. To insert a variable,
right-click in the text eld and select a variable.
The variables will be replaced by text before they are applied to a device.
