1 Using This Manual

A NOTE provides helpful information such as additional explanations, tips, and
comments.
Important
IMPORTANT indicates a situation that, if not avoided, may result in damage to the test
equipment or vehicle.
Hyperlinks
Hyperlinks are available in electronic documents. Blue text indicates a selectable
hyperlink, a website link or an email address link.
Illustrations
Illustrations used in this manual are examples; actual testing screens may vary for each
vehicle being tested. Carefully observe the menu titles and on-screen instructions to
make the right selections.
