Cooktop cartridges, either conventional
coil, halogen or radiant element, can be
installed on either side of the range. (See
page 2[ for a[[ available cartridges and
accessories, and their model numbers.)
TO INSTALL CARTRIDGES:
I. If the gr@grates, dement, and/or basin
pan are in place,remove before ins:ail-
ing a cooktop cartridge. Clean porce-
lain basin of any grease accumulation.
(Seepage19for cleaningrecommenda-
tions.)
2. To install any of the optional cool<top
cartridges, be sure controls are turned
Offand the cartridge is cool. Position
the cartridge terminal plug towards the
terminal receptacle. This receptacle is
located at the front of the left side and
at the back of the right side of the range.
3. SHe the cartridge towards the recep-
tacle until the cartridge terminal plug is
completely engaged.
4. Lower the opposite end of the cartridge
into the rangetop until it isflushwith the
surface. Your range isnow ready to use.
3. To disengageterminal hold cartridge by
the sidesand pu[[awayfrom the termi-
nal receptacle. Lift out when fully un-
plugged.
4. Do not stack cartridges where they may
fallor be damaged. Never store other
materials on mp of the glass-ceramic
cartridges since this could damage or
scratch the surface.
HOME £ANNING
Canning should be done on the conven-
tional coil cartridge only. Canningelement
accessory,Hodd A H5A, makesit possible
to use large oversized canners with the
conventional coil cartridge.

Position the grill dement with the ter-
minal plugrewards the terminal recep-
tacle. This receptacle is located at the
front of the [eft side of the range. SHe
the dement towards the receptacle
until the terminal plug is completely
engagedandsupports rest on the sides
of the basin.
4. Placethe grill grates on the top of the
cooktop.
TO REMOVE GRILL:

TO INSTALL GRILL:
1. Before installing grill components, be
certain controls are Off.
2. Placethe basinpaninto the empty basin.
Besure controls are Off. Remove grill
components when they are cool.
To removegri[[ dement pu[[awayfrom
receptacleuntil ins unplugged.(NOTE:
Lifting the dement more than 2 inches
above the coN<top surface while it is
engagedin the receptacle could damage
the terminal plug.)
TO REHOVE CARTRIDGES:
Controls must beOffand the cartridge
should be coo[.
2. Lift upthe edgeof the cartridge until top
of cartridge dears the opening on the
range by about 2 inches. (Lifting the
cartridge too highwhile still engagedin
the receptacle could damagethe termi-
nal plug.)
