≥ It is possible to play back still pictures on a PC using a image viewer standard to Windows or
commercially available image browsing software, and copy still pictures to a PC using Windows
Explorer.
≥ Please refer to page 253 for details about using a Mac.
≥ It is impossible to write data to this unit from a PC.
≥ Motion pictures that have been recorded on another device cannot be written to the
HD Writer AE 5.4.
≥ When motion picture data is written to and read from the SD card, correct operation of the unit
cannot be guaranteed if software other than HD Writer AE 5.4 is used.
≥ Do not start HD Writer AE 5.4 and other software at the same time.

Important Notice
≥ Do not insert a disc recorded in AVCHD format with HD Writer AE 5.4 in a device that
does not support the AVCHD format. In some cases the disc may get stuck in the
device.
≥ To play back a Blu-ray disc to which you have copied scenes recorded in 1080/60p,
equipment is required that supports AVCHD Progressive.
≥ When inserting a disc containing recorded motion pictures into other devices, a
message prompting you to format the disc may be displayed. Do not format the disc,
since deleted data cannot be restored later.
