The MPAArating systemusesthe Motion PictureAssociationof America (MPAA)system,and itsmain application
is for movies_When the V-Chiplock is on, the TVwill automatically block any programsthat are coded with
obiectionable ratings (eitherMPAAor TV-Ratings).
Pressthe MENU button. Press the ,A or V button to
select "Setup", then press the ENTER button.
Pressthe A or 'V' button to select "V-Chip", then
press the ENTERbutton.
The message "Enter HN" will appear.
Enter your 4 digit HN number.
The "V-Chip" screenwill appear. Pressthe ,A or T button
to select "MPAA Rating", then pressthe ENTERbutton.

The "MPAA Rating" screenwill appear
Repeatedly pressthe ,A or 'V button to selecta particular
MPAA category.
Pressingthe ,A or '_ buttonwill cycle through the MPAA
categories:
G General audience (no restrictions}.
R R(Restricted.Ch@en under17 shouldbe accompaniedby an adult).
NF_ Not rated.
While a particular category is selected, press the ENTER button to activate it.
A selected symbd "_" wiJJbe displayed. Pressthe ENTER button to block or unbJock the
category.
Note: The V-Chip will automatically block any category that is "more restrictive". For example, if
you block the "PG-13" category, then "R", "NC_I 7" and "X" will automatically be blocked also.
