This section describes the fimctions of each control used tUr XM Satellite Radio tuning.
The following controls are only available when XM is selected as the input source. Rotate the INPUT selector on the l?ont panel (or set
AMP/SOURCE/TV to SOURCE and then press XM on the remote control) to select XM as the input source.
• Front panel functions
(U.S.A. model}
@ CATEGORY
(All Channel Search mode)
Changes the channel category to next one (while staying
in the All Channel Search mode).
(Category Search mode)
Changes the chaunel category to next one.
(Preset Search mode)
Switches bet'a,een five preset groups (A to E).
@ PRESET/TUNING/CH <? / E>
(All Channel Search mode)
Searches a radio channel within all channels. Press and
hold l_r quick search.
(Category Search mode)
Searches a radio channel within tile selected category.
Press and hold for quick search.
(Preset Search mode)
Changes tile preset chanuel number (1 to 8).
@ SEARCH MODE
Switches bet'a,een the All Channel Search, Category
Search, and Preset Search modes (see page 57).
@ DISPLAY
Switches XM informatiou such as channel number/name,
category or artist name/song title displayed in the front
panel display (see page 62).
@ MEMORY
Switches tile unit to the preset memory mode.

the selected category. Press and hold for quick search.

Press A-E/CAT. <1 / C:>to change the preset group (A to
E).
Press PRESET/CH A / V to ch_mgethe preset number (1 to 8).
@ XM MEMORY
Switches the unit to the preset memory mode.
@ SRCH MODE
S'a,itches between the All Chaunel Search, Category
Search, and Preset Search modes (see page 57.).
@ DISPLAY
Switches XM informatiou such as chanuel nunlber/name,
category or artist name/song title displayed in the front
panel display (see page 62).
@ Numeric buttons
(All Channel Search or Category Search mode)
Use 1 to 9 and 0 to enter a channel number directly.
(Preset Search mode)
Use 1 to 8 to enter a preset chanuel number directly.
@ ENT.
Confirms an entered channel number during the Direct
Number Access mode (see page 59).
