You can supply power to the camcorder from a wall outlet (wall socket) by using the AC adaptor.

Operate the camcorder while it is connected to a wall outlet (wall socket) as shown in “ Charging the battery
pack using the AC Adaptor .”
If you attach the battery pack to the camcorder while the AC adaptor is connected to the camcorder, the battery
is not charged, but also not consumed.
