Manual Entry
Select this if you wish to Configure the Wireless Network
Settings manually by entering an SSID and the Security Key.

Select “Manual Entry” using [ / ] , then
press [ OK ].
SSID Entry Screen will appear.

Enter an SSID using the On screen
Keyboard.
For details on how to use the On screen Keyboard,
refer to ‘Guide to the On Screen Keyboard’ on page 45.

Select “OK” using [ / / / ] , then
press [ OK ].
Confirmation Message will appear.
6.
Select “Yes” using [ / ] , then press
[ OK ].
Security Method Selection Screen will appear.
7.
Select an Adequate Security Method using
[
/ ] , then press [ OK ].
WEP / WPA / WPA2 Key Entry Screen will appear.
If you select “None” for a Security Method,
Connection Test will Start and the Test result will be
Displayed. Refer to ‘Connection Test’ on page 55.

Enter the Security Key using the On screen
Keyboard.
For details on how to use the On screen Keyboard,
refer to ‘Guide to the On Screen Keyboard’ on page 45.
9.
Select “OK” using [ / / / ] , then
press [ OK ].
Confirmation Message will appear.
10.
Select “Yes” using [ / ] , then press
[ OK ].
Connection Test will Start and the Test Result will be
Displayed. Refer to ‘Connection Test’ on page 55.
11.
Press [ OK ] to Complete the Network
Setup.
• Press [ (home) ] Repeatedly to Exit.
For Wired Connection
For Wired Connection, a Network Connection will
Automatically be established.

Select “Wired” using [ / ] , then press
[ OK ].
Network Connection will Automatically be Established,
then Connection Test will Start and the Test result will
be Displayed. Refer to ‘Connection Test’ on page 55.

Press [ OK ] to complete the Network
Setup.
• Press [ (home) ] Repeatedly to Exit.
Note(s)
If the Connection Test Passes, you are ready to use
Netflix, VUDU, YouTube™, CinemaNow and Network
Update functions, using the Internet without making any
additional Settings.
If the Connection Test Fails, you may need to check your
Router Settings and make sure the Physical Connection
is Secure. If you need the MAC Address of this unit
to complete your Router Settings, refer to ‘Network
Settings’ on Page 49.
When Connecting this Unit directly to a Modem for
the first time or Connecting it to a Modem which was
previously Connected to any other Network Device (e.g.
a Router, PC, etc.), you may have to Power Cycle the
Modem (unplug the Modem’s and/or Router’s AC plug
from its AC Outlet for 30 Seconds and then Plug it Back
in), this may Reset the Settings in the Modem. If you have
a Telephone/Internet Modem with your Cable Service
then you may have to use its Reset Button or Remove the
Backup Battery to Reset this type of Modem.
If “Internet” Failed on the Connection Test, this Unit is
Not Connected to the Internet. In this case, you Cannot
use the Network services, such as Netflix and Network
Update Function. Please Confirm the Router Settings
or contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) for
Troubleshooting Assistance.
