10. NETWORK
This section describes the Procedures for Network Setup.
By performing the Network Connection Setup, you can use
the Network Features, such as Netflix, VUDU, YouTube™,
CinemaNow and the Network Update function.
Network Settings
You can select either Wireless Connection or Wired Connection.
Wireless
If you have a Wireless Router, select
“Wireless” to connect to the Internet.
Wired
If you connect this Unit to the Network
using an Ethernet cable, select “Wired” to
connect to the Internet.
There are 2 ways to Set up — “Network Settings Assistant” in a
Wizard format and “Manual Network Settings”.
Network Setting Assistant
1.
Press [ (home) ], then select “Setup”
“Network”
“Network Settings Assistant”
“Start Now”, then press [ OK ].
Connecting Method Screen will appear.
This unit can be connected to a home
network.
Select your connection type.
Wireless
Wired
Cancel
For Wireless Connection
2.
Select “Wireless” using [ / ] , then press
[ OK ].
You will be asked to select “Easy Connect”, “Scan” or
“Manual Entry”. Select an adequate method according
to your Wireless Router and Settings.
Easy Connect
Select this if your Wireless Router has a WPS button

. It is the
easiest way to set up a wireless connection. If it fails, try “Easy
Connect” again

WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button may be called PBC (Push
Button Configuration) button on your Wireless Router.

If it continuously Fails, then refer to the Router’s Manual for
more details.

Select “Easy Connect” using [ / ] , then
press [ OK ].

Press the WPS button on your Wireless
Router.

Return to this Unit within 2 minutes, select
“Connect” using [
/ ] , then press
[ OK ].
On your Router, press the WPS button. Then Return to this
Unit within 2 minutes to select “Connect” and press OK.
Back Connect
Network Connection will automatically be established,
then Connection Test will Start and the Test result will
be Displayed. Refer to ‘Connection Test’ on page 55.

Press [ OK ] to Complete the Network
Setup.
• Press [ (home) ] Repeatedly to Exit.
Scan
This Method lets you select an SSID* from the SSID List
automatically obtained by performing “Scan”.
* SSID (Service Set IDentifier) is a Wireless Network name
which is used to identify your Wireless Router (Access Point)
on the Network.

Select “Scan” using [ / ] , then press
[ OK ].
Access Points List will be displayed.
Select your network.
Rescan

appears next to the SSID (Access Point) that is
Protected with Security.
shows the Access Point’s Signal Strength.
