Burner Grates and Vent Grille
Porcelain enamel bmner grates and die
vent gqille should be washed regularly
and, of course, a[_er spillovers.
The grates may be washed eidler in file
dishw_ksher or you may wash dleIll in hot
soapy water and rinse with clean wamr
You may Nso use abrasive cleaners and
scouting pads to clean burner grates and
tile vent grille. Dry tile grams and grille
wkb a cl(nh--don't put them back on tile
cooktop wet.
To get rid of bmned-on food, place die
grams and grille in a covered container:
Add 1/4 cup (59 mL) ammonia and let
them soak several hours or overnight.
_¢Vash, rinse well and dry.
'Although they're durable, die gqates
and grille will gradually lose their shine,
regardless of the best care you can give
them. This is due to their confimta/
exposure to high temperatures.
Do not operate a burner for an extended
period of time without cool<ware on tile
gram. Tile finish on tile gram may chip
without cookware to absorb tile beat.
After cleaning, replace die center vent
gnille first. Replace the side grams so that
the cenmr extensions are oriented toward
the cenmr of tlle cooktop. Tile rear
center exmnsions should slighdy overlap
the vent gqille. Make sure tlle grates are
positioned secmely over the burners and
that they are stable and level.

rubber feet should become damaged or
lost, replace them immediamly:

Cooktop Surface
To avoid damaging tile porcelain enamel
surfhce of the cooktop and to prevent it
fiom becoming dull, clean up spills right
away. Foods wkb a lot of acid (tomatoes,
sauerkraut, fluitj uices, etc.) or foods with
high sugar content couM cause a dull
spot if allowed to set.
When tile surface has cooled, wash
and rinse. For other spills such as fat
spatmdngs, etc., wash with soap and wamr
once tlle surfi_ce has cooled. Then rinse
and polish with a &T cloth.

Control Knobs

Ovenrack Oven Racks
All oven tacks may be cleaned by band
with an abrasive cleaner or smel wool.
After cleaning, rinse the racks with clean
water and dt T wifll a clean cloth. Gray
