. If the time display flashed "F-- and a number", you have a function error
code., If function error code appears during the self-cfeaning cycle, check
oven door latcho The latch handle may have been moved, even if only
slightly, from the latched position_ Make sure the latch is moved to the right
as far as it will go. Press the CLEAR!OFF pad. Allow the oven to cool for
one hour, Put the oven back into operation If the failure code repeats,
disconnect alt power to the range° Call for service°
Plug on the range is not completely inserted in the electrical outlet,,
The circuit breaker in your house has been tripped, or a fuse has been blown..
o Door left in lock position after self-cleaning
Oven controls not properly set,
o Make sure electrical plug is plugged into a live power outlet.
Burner holes on the side or around the top of burner may be clogged,
Remove burners (on models with dual burners) or burner heads (on models
with sealed burners) or burner caps on spill-proof models, and clean them
with a sewing needle or twist tie_ Make sure you do not enlarge the holes,
On spill-proof models, check electrode area for burned-on food or grease.
(A) Yellow flames-- (B) Yellow tips on outer
Call for service cones--Normal for LP gas
o If burner flames look like (A), call for service. Normal burner flames should look
like (B) or (C), depending on the type of gas you use.
oWith LP gas, some yellow tipping on outer cones is normal.
(C) Soft blue flames--
Normal for natural gas
BURNER FLAMES VERY o If range is connected to LP gas, check all steps in the Installation
LARGE OR YELLOW Instructions.
CLOCK DOES NOT WORK o Range electrical plug must be securely seated in a live power outlet.
: : Check for blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker,,
: o See the Oven Controls, Clock and Timer section.
OVEN LIGHT DOES NOT * Bulb may be loose or burned out.
COME ON o Electrical plug must be plugged into a live power outlet.
STRONG ODOR Improper air/gas ratio in oven. Adjust oven burner air shutter,,
: o An odor from the insulation around the oven liner is normal for the first few
times oven is used. This is temporary,
