Broiler Pan and Rack
After broiling, remove the
broiler pan from the oven or
broiler compartment (de-
pending on your model)°
Remove the rack from the
pan. Carefully pour out
grease from the pan into a
proper container. Wash and
rinse the broiler pan and
rack in hot water with a
soap-filled or plastic scour-
ing pad,
If food has burned on, sprinkle the rack with deter-
gent while hot and cover with wet paper towels or a
dishcloth,, Soaking the pan will remove burned
on foods.

Both the broiler pan and rack can also be cleaned in
the dishwasher,
Do not store a soiled broiler pan and rack anywhere
in the range,
Do not clean the broiler pan or rack in the
self-cleaning oven.
Oven Shelves
Clean the shelves with an abrasive cleanser or steel
wool. After cteaning, rinse the shelves with clean
water and dry with a clean cloth,
NOTE: The oven shelves may be cleaned in the self-
cleaning oven. However, they will darken, lose their
luster and become hard to slide° Wipe the shelf sup-
ports with cooking oil after self-cleaning to make
shelves slide more easily.
Oven Bottom
The oven bottom has a
porcelainenamei finish, h_jjfjt_ _
To make cleaning easier,
protect the oven bottom
from excessive spillovers J.[_l_
by placing a cookie sheet
on the shelf below the
shelf you are cooking on.
You can use aluminum foil
if you do not cover the
whole shelf° This is partic-
ularly important when
baking a fruit pie or other foods with a high acid con-
tenL Hot fruit fillings or other foods that are highly
acidic (such as milk, tomatoes or sauerkraut and
sauces with vinegar or lemon juice) may cause pitting
and damage to the porcelain enamel surface and
should be wiped up immediately.
To clean up spillovers, use soap and water, an abra-
sive cleaner or scouring pad_ Rinse well to remove
any soap before self-cleaningo
Surface Light and Starter (onsomemodels)
CAUTION: Do not touch Canopy
the bulb with wet hands
or when bulb is hot.
Never wipe the light Ltft up
area with a wet cloth.
Electrical power must
be shut off if you have Starter
to replace a bulb.
To replace the bulb:
1. With one hand at each
end of the hinged Lightbulb
canopy, grasp it by the
front edge and flip it upo
2. Remove the fluorescent light bulbo Replace the bulb
with one of the same length and wattage.
3. Lower the canopy,,
To replace the starter:
1, Open the canopy and remove the bulb as explained
above,
2. Grasp the starter, turn it counterclockwise about
one-quarter turn and lift out. Replace with one of
the same wattage°
3. Replace the bulb and lower the canopy
