Front Suspension Adjustments
7. Tighten the fork center bolt lock nut (2) to the
fork center bolt (7) closely by hand. Tighten
the fork center bolt lock nut to the specified
torque using an open end wrench 9/16 in (15
mm):
21 lbf·ft (29 N·m, 3.0 kgf·m)
8. Place the lower end (axle holder) of the slider
in a vise with a piece of wood or soft jaws to
avoid damage.
NOTICE
Over-tightening the vise can damage the axle
holder.
9. Apply locking agent to the fork center bolt
threads.
Install the fork center bolt (7) to the axle holder
and tighten it to the specified torque:
41 lbf·ft (55 N·m, 5.6 kgf·m)
10. Pour the recommended fork oil (8) into the
fork assembly (1).
Recommended Oil:
KHL15-11 (KYB)
Fork Oil Capacity:
Be sure the oil capacity is the same in both fork
legs.
11. Install a new O-ring (9) on the fork damper
assembly (3). Apply the recommended fork oil
to the O-ring.
12. Pull up the fork assembly (1) slowly and install
the fork damper assembly (3) into the outer
tube.
