Cleaning and care
91
Re
move any soiling from the control panel and from the front of
the appliance straight away.
Otherwise the surfaces can become discolored or changed.
All
surfaces are susceptible to scratches.
Contact with unsuitable detergents can alter or discolor the exter‐
na
l surfaces.
Cleaning the control panel
C
lean the control panel with a clean sponge and a solution of dish‐
washing liquid and hot water or with a clean damp microfiber cloth.
Dry the control panel with a soft cloth afterwards.
Do
not use abrasive detergents!
These can damage the control panel.
Cleaning the appliance front
T
o clean the stainless steel front, use a damp cloth with a solution
of dishwashing liquid and hot water or with a non-abrasive cleaning
agent for use on stainless steel.
To help prevent re-soiling (fingerprints, etc.), a suitable stainless steel
conditi
oner can be used after cleaning (e.g., Neoblank, which can be
obtain from Miele Service).
Do not use cleaning agents containing ammonia or thinners!
These agents can damage the surface material.
Do
not hose down the dishwasher or its direct vicinity to clean
it, e.g. with a water hose or high-pressure cleaner.
Cleaning the wash cabinet
The wash cabinet is largely self-cleaning, provided that the correct
amou
nt of detergent is always used.
If, despite this, lime scale or grease deposits accumulate in the cabi‐
net, these ca
n be removed with a proprietary dishwasher cleaner
(available from Miele).
