Connecting the water drain
The drain is equipped with a non-return valve which prevents waste
w
ater from flowing back into the dishwasher through the drain
hose.
The dishwasher should preferably be connected to a se
parate on-
site drainage system. If no separate connection is available, we rec‐
ommend connection to a double chamber siphon. The on-site con‐
nection must be between 1 ft (0.3 m) and 3' 3" (1 m) height, meas‐
ured from the lower edge of the appliance. If the connection is low‐
er than 1 ft. (0.3 m) the drain hose must be placed in an arc at least
1 ft (0.3 m) high.
The dishwasher is equipped with a 4' 11" (1.5 m) flexible drain hose
w
ith an internal diameter of 7/8" (22 mm). Hose clips are supplied
with the dishwasher.
The drain hose may not be shortened. An additional hose and
adap
ter can be used to extend the drain hose. The drain hose
length must not exceed 13' 1 1/2" (4 m).
The drainage system must be able to accommodate a minimum
d
rainage flow of 42 gpm (16 l/min).
Ma
ke sure that there are no kinks in the hose, and that it is not
squashed or stretched.
