For certain device models, you need to enable People Counng on VCA page rst.

The funcon is only supported by certain device models.

10.7.1 Set People Counng Rule

Aer seng the detecon rules and algorithm parameters, the device calculates the number of

people entering or exing in the rule area, triggers linkage acons and uploads data automacally.

Before You Start

Go to VCA and select the applicaon. Select People Counng and click Next to enable the

funcon.

●

For the device supporng HEOP, go to VCA to import and enable People Counng.

Steps

Go to VCA → Set Applicaon → People Counng → Rule .

Check Enable to enable the funcon.

Click Add to add a detecon area.

Click to draw the polygon detecon area (count area). Le-click end-points in the live view

window, and right-click to nish the drawing.

Click to draw the detecon line. The arrow shows entering direcon, you can click to

change the direcon.

Note

In order to improve the counng accuracy, please draw the detecon area according to the

following rules.

●

The detecon area needs to cover the people entering and exing access.

●

The detecon line must be completely contained within the red detecon area and

perpendicular to the path of the person passing through.

Oponal: Adjust the detecon area and detecon line.

Click

Clear the selected detecon area or line.

Click

Clear all detecon areas and lines.

Oponal: Repeat the above steps to draw up to 3 detecon areas and corresponding detecon

lines.

Set people counng parameters.

OSD Overlay Content

Select the counng data type to be displayed in the live view image from the drop-down list,

and adjust the display posion of people counng data in the live view image.
