Reduce the effect of noises from your signal
When focusing on signal itself, the important thing is to reduce the noise level as
lower as possible, this would enable user to have more details about the signal. The
Average function offered by our Oscilloscope can help you to achieve this
Here are the steps for how to enable Average function.
1. Apply square waveform to CH1 as a source signal. Press ACQUIRE button to
bring up ACQU MODE menu.
2. Press F3 selection Average, Press F4 to select number of data points for average.
Available choices of number are 16, 32, 64, 128. The higher the number, the
better result user will get.
Use would see a much reduced random noise level and make it easy to see more
details of the signal itself. As it is in Fig.68, after applying Average, user can easily
identify the burrs on the rising and falling edges of some part of the signal(see
Fig.6-5).
