Configuring communications

SNMP t raps are not ificat ions sent from t he proj ect or. They are only received by a t rap receiver ( MI B

Browser) in t he com put er.

1. From t he web user int erface, select Network > Notification.

2. Set up t he appropriate SNMP set t ing:

• SNMP Read Community—Plain text passw ord t hat m ust also be ent ered in t he MI B

browser. This password allows various sett ings in t he proj ect or t o be queried.

• SNMP Location—Use as a descript ion t o where a proj ect or is locat ed in a building. SNMP

em ails sent specify t his locat ion.

• Trap IP Address—Fill in t his field with t he I P address of t he com put er, on w hich you

want t o view received t raps from t he project or.

• Sender Email—Set the em ail account as t he source of t he syst em not ificat ions.

• SMTP Server—Enter t he I P address of t he m ail server.

• Recipient—Ent er up t o t wo em ail account s t o receive t he system notification.

3. Set t he SNMP actions for the syst em event s:

• Disabled—Disable em ail not ificat ion

• SNMP Trap—Send t he not ificat ion t o t he t rap r eceiv er ( MI B Browser ) .

• Email—Send t he not ificat ion t o the em ail recipient .

• SNMP Trap and Email—Send t he not ificat ion t o t he t rap receiver and t he em ail

recipient .

4. To apply the not ification set tings, select Save.

Using the RS-232C interface

To cont rol t he proj ector t hrough t he RS-232C int erface, do t he following:

1. Connect your com put er and t he proj ector directly using t he RS- 232 cable.

2. Set t he sam e baud rat e in bot h your com puter and proj ector.

Use com m ands t o control t he proj ector.

Re-connecting the network

Aft er t he net work is disconnected and t im eout using RJ- 45/ HDBaseT/ Wifi, t he browser refreshes t he

page aut om atically and show HTTP404 ( Not Found) error m essage.

I f user want s t o re- cont rol t he proj ect or, t he user m ust login in t he control page wit h t he account

and password again.
