Configuring communications
Using the web interface
To cont rol t he proj ector t hrough t he web int erface, do t he follow ing:
1. St art up t he w eb browser on your com put er or m obile devices.
2. Ent er the I P address set on t he project or int o t he URL of t he web br owser.
3. Enter t he user nam e and password t o login. After a successful login, you can cont rol t he
proj ector over t he web int erface.
Logging on to the web user interface
Log int o t o the web user int erface by following t he st eps below.
1. Connect the proj ect or to AC and power it on.
2. When t he net work is available, connect t he proj ect or and com put er t o t he sam e net work.
a. To check t he proj ect or address in a wired net work, select Menu > Configuration >
Communications > LAN > IP Address.
b. To check t he proj ect or address in a wireless network, select Menu > Configuration >
Communications > WLAN > Default Gateway.
3. I f t he net work is unavailable, connect the project or t o t he com put er wit h an RJ45 cable.
a. Set t he Default Gat eway and Subnet Mask of t he com put er t o m atch t he proj ector.
b. Set t he I P address of t he com put er t o m atch the first three num bers of t he proj ect or.
For exam ple, if t he proj ector I P address is 192.168.000.100, set t he com put er I P address
to 192.168.000.xxx, where xxx is not 100.
4. Open a w eb browser and t ype t he proj ect or addr ess in t he browser address bar.
5. I n t he Usernam e field, ent er the usernam e.
The default usernam e is adm in.
6. I n t he Password field, ent er t he password.
The default password is adm in.
7. Select Login.
Setting the system notification
Configure t he Sim ple Net work Managem ent Protocol ( SNMP) set tings for receiving notifications
from t he system direct ly t o t he em ail. SNMP provides net work adm inist rat ors with a com m on way
to m anage t heir network devices from a single rem ot e locat ion. Adm inistrat ors can use t he SNMP
int erface t o query a num ber of devices t o see t heir current st at us or configuration. Operat ors can
change configuration values and configure t rap not ifications to be sent when certain event s occur
( for exam ple, loss of signal, power st ate change, and so on) .
Em ails are sent t o t he m ail server configured in t he proj ect or set tings. Up t o t wo user em ail
account s can be select ed. I m port ant inform at ion regarding t he event is locat ed in t he body cont ent
of t he em ail.
