Configuring system settings
Setting up password protection
Prot ect your proj ect or wit h a passw ord. Once enabled, you m ust ent er t he password before you can
proj ect an im age.
1. Select Menu > Configuration > Menu Preferences > PIN Protect.
2. Ent er a password by num ber keys.
3. To confirm the password, select OK.
Changing password
Change t he current password t o a new password.
1. Select Menu > Configuration > Menu Preferences > Change PIN.
2. Ent er current password by num ber keys.
3. Select OK.
4. Ent er new password by num ber keys.
5. Select OK.
6. To confirm the password, ent er new password again by num ber keys.
7. Select OK.
Setting up power mode
Adj ust various proj ect or's power set tings including t he shut down t im e, sleep t im er, and st andby
m ode.
Setting the standby mode
Det erm ine which st andby m ode t he pr oj ect or is in when AC power on.
1. Select Menu > Configuration > Power Management > Standby Mode.
2. Select t he appropriate m ode:
• 0.5W mode—Less power consum pt ion which does not have t he abilit y t o m onit or t he
proj ector over a net w ork cable in st andby m ode.
• Communication mode—More power consum pt ion in st andby m ode which allows you t o
m onit or t he pr oj ect or over a network cable.
3. Select ENTER.
Com m unicat ion m ode is the proj ect or’s default st andby m ode. Aft er perform ing factory r eset,
m anually set t he standby m ode to 0.5W m ode to have less power consum pt ion ( < 0.5W) .
