Adjusting the image settings
Setting the high dynamic range
High dynam ic range ( HDR) is set to increase t he dynam ic range which allows t he full spect rum of
the im age t o be seen. HDR significant ly expands t he range of cont rast rat io and color t o show a
m ore realist ic and nat ural im age. After enabling t his funct ion, you can see det ails in t he dark, at the
sam e t im e, t he bright part of t he im age is st ill visible.
1. Select Menu > Image Settings > HDR.
2. Select appropriat e set ting for HDR:
• Auto—Aut o det ect HDR cont ent .
• Level—Select an appropriat e HDR effect .
• HDR1—Low HDR effect, used for bright im ages t o incr ease t he color sat uration.
• HDR2—Medium HDR effect , used for st andar d im ages t o m ake t hem look m ore
realist ic and nat ural.
• HDR3—Medium HDR effect , used for video cont ent t o im prove im age details.
• HDR4—St rong HDR effect, used t o im prove im age det ails in dark scenes.
3. To confirm t he select ion, select ENTER.
Adjust the color of the image
Calibrat e t he accuracy of prim ary colors and t he wall color, which can change because of light ing
and environm ental factors. Light ing and ot her environm ent al fact ors m ay slightly change how t hese
colors appear on your screen. While t he change is negligible in m ost cases, you m ay prefer t o
recover the originally intended color perform ance before t rying t o m at ch colors from several
proj ectors.
• The HDR function only w or ks w hen t he proj ector is receiving signal from the HDMI input . You m ust
set Pict ure Sett ings t o Bright .
• Enabling HDR disables t he picture- in- picture/ pict ure- by- picture ( PI P/ PBP) function.
