Label Types
Rollform PipeMarker
and rotated along the length of the pipe marker, as is the text. Like arrow tape labels, rollform pipe
markers are wrapped around the pipe to be labeled.
To create a rollform pipe marker:
1. Press LABEL TYPE.
2. Select either NA Safety or EU Safety.
3. Select Rollform PipeMarker. The printer displays the settings screen for rollform pipe
markers. The settings displayed are different for North America and the European Union.
These differences are marked by NA and EU in the steps.
4. Fill in the first settings screen.

Pipe Contents [EU]:
In the
Pipe Contents
list, select the property of the chemical or
substance that flows through the pipe.
The printer displays the color of ribbon and label supply needed for the selected pipe
contents. This information is based on the color standard that you specified during setup.
See “Label Type” on page 11.

Pipe Contents [NA]:
Select the field and type in the name of the chemical or substance that
flows through the pipe. For example, water, steam, flammable gas, and so on.
• Pipe Diameter: Enter the diameter of the pipe to be labeled. Enter the pipe diameter in
inches or millimeters, depending on the units of measure selected in Setup, Language.
(See “Language” on page 8.) The maximum that can be entered in the Pipe Diameter field
is 11 inches (279.4 mm).
The printer calculates the length of tape necessary to wrap around the circumference of
the pipe.

Comment 1 (optional) [NA]:
Enter any additional text that should display on the label. As the
field name suggests, this field is optional.
5. Proceed to the next screen.
